IOTA 3922A is a dedicated silicone resin for refractory mica tapes and pressure-sensitive tapes. It is a colorless or pale yellow uniform liquid free of impurities, with 60±2% solid content and viscosity ≥30,000 cp at 25°C for outstanding wetting power.
As a fast-drying binder, it features ultra-short curing cycles: surface dry within 1 min at 60–90°C and full cure in 3 min at 120–150°C, greatly accelerating coating line throughput. Cured mica tapes stay dry, soft and non-sticky for easy slitting and winding.
Dilute with toluene/xylene to 18–20% concentration, add 1.0–3.0% BPO/DPP curing agent and stir evenly before use. It delivers four types of adhesion, heat & moisture resistance, low smoke and zero carbon precipitation under high temperature, outperforming imported equivalents. Packed in sealed 200kg iron drums, stored at 0–35°C away from sunlight for 6 months; usable if passing inspection after expiry, ideal for mass production of cable mica tapes.
