Metallic materials have long been widely used in the connection of electronic components due to their excellent thermal conductivity. However, their drawback of being prone to corrosion requires the application of anti-corrosion coatings during processing, which in turn leads to a decrease in thermal conductivity. Thermal conductive polymer materials have emerged as the times require, well making up for the defects of metallic materials in terms of thermal conductivity and better meeting people's production and living needs.
Polymer adhesives, such as plastic and rubber matrices like silicone rubber adhesives and silicone rubber, possess good heat resistance. This prevents the materials from aging and deforming when electronic components are in high-temperature conditions. They can be used for thermal conductive insulation of thermistors, sealing of tube shells, bonding of semiconductor substrates, and so on.
