Weather-resistant adhesives, structural adhesives, and sealants are all adhesives that are widely used in construction, decoration and other industries, but they differ in performance, use, etc.:

1. Different performance characteristics
1. Weather-resistant adhesive: one-component, neutral curing, specially designed for weather-resistant sealing of various curtain walls, with excellent weather-resistant performance. After artificial accelerated climate aging testing, various physical and chemical properties have no significant changes. The displacement capacity reaches 20 levels. It can maintain the same performance against the normal expansion, contraction and shear deformation of the curtain wall and play an effective sealing role. It also has the advantages of aging resistance, UV resistance, ozone resistance, water resistance, and excellent high and low temperature resistance. After curing, it will not become brittle, harden or crack at a low temperature of -30℃, and will not soften or degrade at a high temperature of +90℃, and always maintains good elasticity. In addition, it is non-corrosive to metal, coated glass, concrete, marble, granite and other building materials, and has excellent adhesion. After curing, it forms a strong bond with most building materials without the use of primer. Other neutral silicone glues have good compatibility.
2. Structural adhesive: high strength (compressive strength>65mpa, steel-to-steel positive tensile bonding strength>30mpa, shear strength>18mpa), can withstand large loads, and is resistant to aging, fatigue and corrosion, and has a long life expectancy Internal performance is stable. After curing, it has high modulus performance and can bear the expansion and contraction displacement capacity of ±25% of the interface. It has excellent bonding properties, does not require primer, and can form a strong bond with most building materials.
3. Sealant: usually based on dry or non-drying viscous materials such as asphalt, natural resin or synthetic resin, natural rubber or synthetic rubber, and combined with talcum powder, clay, carbon black, titanium dioxide and asbestos, etc. Made of inert fillers, plasticizers, solvents, curing agents, accelerators, etc. It has the functions of anti-leakage, waterproof, anti-vibration, sound insulation, and heat insulation. It can prevent gas, liquid, and solid from penetrating and prevent structural materials from being damaged when the structure is displaced, thus playing the role of heat preservation, sound insulation, waterproof, dustproof, and heat insulation. It has the functions of gas resistance, fire protection, anti-corrosion, shock absorption and preventing the accumulation of foreign matter in the joints.
