IOTA 26194 is a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with an inert organic functional group at one end of the molecular chain and an alkoxy functional group at the other. It features rapid hydrolysis and can quickly react with silanol groups on the surface of inorganic fillers. This grafts inert polysiloxane chains onto the filler surface, thereby improving the compatibility between the inorganic fillers and the silicone matrix. As a result, it enables higher filler loading and contributes to an increased thermal conductivity of thermal interface materials (TIMs).

Application:
This product is a macromolecular silane coupling agent featuring an inert organic functional group at one end of the molecule and a rapidly reactive trimethoxysilyl group at the other. Its rapid hydrolysis enables efficient reaction with hydroxyl groups on the surfaces of inorganic fillers such as alumina and aluminum nitride , grafting inert polysiloxane chains onto the filler surface. This surface treatment effectively enhances the compatibility, dispersion, and filler loading of inorganic fillers in silicone matrices, resulting in a significant improvement in the thermal conductivity of thermal interface materials (TIMs).
