Gel time is the time required for liquid resin or glue to turn into solid gel at a specified temperature. It is used to measure the activeness of the reaction between resin and curing agent. The measurement needs to be carried out at a constant temperature, usually tested at 100cm³ @ 25℃. Different resins and curing agents have different gel times. The pot life is the time after the resin and curing agent are mixed and can be used for construction. It is usually 75% of the gel time. The pot life is affected by the amount of mixed glue. The more the amount of mixed glue, the shorter the operation time. The open time is the maximum time that the mixed resin and curing agent can be left on the substrate before the substrate is bonded. It is affected by temperature. The surface dry time is the time when there is no residual glue on the surface of a single-component moisture-curing adhesive. It is affected by temperature and humidity. The curing time is the time for the adhesive to fully cure. It is recommended to perform performance testing 7 days after reaching maximum strength. The minimum curing time is the time required for the resin and curing agent to reach 80% of the final strength after mixing. The handling strength is the time after the adhesive is bonded to a certain strength, and the bonding part can be moved without damaging the structure. Pot life is the time before the glue is applied to the substrate, and open time is the time it can be left on the substrate after being applied.
