According to the curing method, adhesives can be divided into four types: melt curing, volatile curing, water curing and reaction curing.

1.Melt curing adhesives are bonded in a heated molten state. Common ones include low melting point metals such as solder and silver solder, and EVA (polyethylene vinyl acetate) hot melt adhesives, which are widely used in packaging, book binding and furniture manufacturing.

2.Volatile curing adhesives are naturally volatilized and cured in the air by water or other solvents, such as water glass series adhesives and chloroprene rubber, which are often used for bonding refractory materials, shoes, leather and metals.

3.Water curing adhesives react chemically and cure when they come into contact with water. Typical representatives are gypsum and various cements, which are widely used in construction and repair work.

4.Reaction curing adhesives are cured by chemical reactions with substances other than water, including phosphate adhesives, dental putty, α-cyanoacrylate instant glue and acrylic diester anaerobic glue, which are suitable for high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and fast bonding.
