The Development Trends of Solvent-Free Adhesives

Hits: 578 img

  1. Functional Solvent-Free Adhesives
Solvent-free adhesives should evolve towards functional products, such as developing formulations resistant to corrosion from organic solvent mixtures (e.g., benzene, toluene, xylene, esters, surfactants, and DMF with ≤20% content) and pesticides.
  2. UV-Curable Solvent-Free Adhesives
UV-curable solvent-free adhesives not only feature fast curing, transparency, high peel strength, and good flexibility in finished products but also offer advantages of being solvent-free, non-toxic, non-corrosive, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly. They are suitable for rapid solvent-free lamination of materials like plastic/plastic, plastic/paper, and plastic/metal films. Although UV-curable solvent-free adhesives have seen development, intensified R&D efforts are still needed to launch more mature products into the market.
  3. Solvent-Free Adhesives for Other Industries
Develop solvent-free adhesives for industries such as textiles and automotive interiors, as well as those for paper (including kraft paper, cardstock, and ordinary paper)/plastic (various transparent films, aluminized films, aluminum foil) lamination.
