Principles for the Selection of Adhesive Usage

Hits: 641 img

Selection Principles
(1) Consider the type, properties, size and hardness of the bonded materials.
(2) Consider the shape, structure and technological conditions of the bonded materials.
(3) Consider the load and form (tensile force, shearing force, peeling force, etc.) that the bonded part will bear.
(4) Consider the special requirements of the materials, such as electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, high-temperature resistance and low-temperature resistance.
Features and Selection Pictures
(1) Connect various materials with different elastic moduli and thicknesses, especially thin materials.
(2) The bonded surface is smooth and has good aerodynamic performance.
(3) It has good sealing performance and corrosion resistance.
(4) Extend the service life of the bonded parts and reduce the weight of the bonded parts.
(5) Low labor intensity, low cost and high production efficiency.
(6) The non-conductive adhesive is heat-resistant, shock-resistant and insulating. Among them:
a. The order of the flexibility of modified epoxy resins is: epoxy-polysulfide > epoxy-polyamide > epoxy-amine curing agent.
b. The order of the flexibility of modified phenolics is: phenolic-polyamide > phenolic-polyvinyl acetate > phenolic-epoxy.
