Structural adhesive is an adhesive with high strength (compressive strength > 65MPa, steel-to-steel tensile bonding strength > 30MPa, shear strength > 18MPa). It can bear a relatively large load, and is resistant to aging, fatigue, and corrosion. Curing Time of Structural Adhesive
It can be put into use after curing at 20～25℃ for 24 hours or curing at 20～25℃ for 2 hours plus 2 hours at 80℃. If the temperature is low, heating or extending the curing time should be adopted to promote the curing.
Applications of Structural Adhesive
Structural adhesive has high strength, anti-peeling property, impact resistance, and simple construction process. It is used for bonding between the same materials or different materials such as metals, ceramics, plastics, rubbers, and woods. It can partially replace traditional connection forms such as welding, riveting, and bolt connection. The stress distribution on the bonded surface is uniform, and there is no thermal influence or deformation on the parts.
Structural adhesive is widely used in engineering, mainly for the reinforcement, anchoring, bonding, and repair of components; for example, bonding steel plates, bonding carbon fiber, planting steel bars, crack reinforcement, sealing, hole repair, road stud bonding, surface protection, concrete bonding, etc.
